Courses and Workshops
Return To Roots Learning Community offers a variety of courses and workshops for children of all ages! Contact us for information on our financial assistance options.
Written Out Loud
Date to be announced

If your child is interested in writing, then this is the course for them! Written Out Loud is an interactive and collaborative writing program where the secrets to writing a great story will be unveiled week by week. At the end of this 8-week course, we will celebrate with a ceremony as your child receives their very own published work of art!
Fireside Cooking
Date to be announced

Humans have been cooking over fire for nearly 2 million years. Learning how to start a fire, learning the differing properties of various types of wood, how to bake, roast, boil, etc. is a skill that took our ancestors almost 2 millennia to master. It is also a skill that is quickly being forgotten due to the simplicity and ease of modern-day appliances. We invite your child to join us around the campfire while we cook pizza made from our very own homemade English Muffins!
If your child has allergies, intolerances, or food aversions please contact us PRIOR to registering.
Paper Bead Making
Date to be announced

Paper bead making can be traced back to one of the oldest crafts done on the African continent, as well as Victorian England, when women would gather together and roll scraps of wallpaper around knitting needles and polish them with beeswax. We invite your child to come and learn the simple, yet beautiful, art of paper bead making.
